Role in the Project

In VIZTA, ALTER TECHNOLOGY will take a central role as coordinator of the exploitation and dissemination activities (WP1) and will analyze VIZTA outcomes standards and regulation compliance as identified as a limiting factor to reach the targeted impacts. Its main task at WP1 will be to lead the exploitation plan development through an Exploitation Manager, who is required to coordinate and monitor all project partners exploitation results to assure its final normative compliance.

Pawel Adamiec, physicist at ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD within the Optoelectronics department. Pawel received Ph.D. degree in physics from Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, in 2006. From 2000 to 2012 he was working at the High-Pressure Research Centre, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland; Ferdinand-Braun-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik, Berlin, Germany; University of Technology in Madrid, Spain. At that time, he was investigating the properties of the semiconductor lasers or other optoelectronic devices and he was also responsible for the design and development of semiconductor lasers. In 2014 he joined ALTER TECHNOLOGY, where he is engaged in the analysis and studies of new photonic technologies for the aerospace sector. He was awarded Intra-European Marie-Curie Fellowship in 2009 and Torres Quevedo Fellowship in 2015. He is an author or co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed journal papers and conference contributions.

Fernando Muñoz Manrique, Technical Project Manager at ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD within the Equipment & Certification division. He received the MEng in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Malaga in 2002 and the Executive MBA from IE Business School in 2014. He has more than 18 years’ experience in the Test & Measurement sector. He has an extensive background in big technology and science European programs and has had the opportunity to work and collaborate with the principal companies in the aerospace sector. He has participated in radar and electronic warfare projects for the Eurofighter and A400M aircrafts and ICU qualification projects for the European Space Agency MetOp SG missions. Fernando is a senior member of the IEEE Spain section. He has participated in conferences and experts’ affinity groups promoting standardization of test technologies and solutions.

Demetrio Lopez Molina, Head of Technology and Business Development division at ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD. Demetrio obtained his MSc in Telecommunication Engineer at the Technical University of Madrid. During more than 30 years, he has accumulated a wide experience in management of research and innovation projects being responsible of most R&D projects of ALTER TECHNOLOGY in the frame of European Space Agency and European Commission as well of direct manager of the Photonic & New Technologies division. Since January 2019, Demetrio has taken a new responsibility in the company as leader of the Technology and Business Development department and hence is focused to expand capabilities far beyond classical space market. As leader of most of the R&D projects in his company, he is pretty much convinced of team business as well of cooperation with research partners enterprises to expand technological capabilities and to ensure competitive advantage in the marketplace.
